The Russell School

Image Consent

Parents and carers who attend school events at the invitation of the school are permitted to take photos and film school performances at the discretion of the Headteacher and Governors.

All images must be intended for personal use only.

Parents must not post pictures or recordings onto the internet that show children other than their own. This includes all social networking sites.

Recording or photographing other than for private use requires the consent of all other parents and carers whose children are included in the image, even if unintentionally in the background. The Data Protection Act stipulates that images cannot be passed on or published on the internet without consent.

Parents and carers must follow guidance from staff as to when photography and recording is permitted and where to stand in order to minimise disruption to an event.
